Construction on the move

Currently, our Headquarters and Training Centre is a hive of activity as the McNamara construction team work tirelessly on our new building. Through the completion of the first two phases the additional and improved facilities for dogs are now in place. The Puppy and Breeding Block has been completed and is ready for the new pups scheduled to arrive during May.
A few weeks ago, our fundraising, client services and administration teams moved to temporary offices in the new section of the building so that refurbishment could begin on our existing block. A full section of the existing block had to be broken through to allow construction vehicles full access to the building. The refurbishment includes extending the administration and fundraising offices and the creation of a Independent Living Skills Zone where clients completing their Independent Living Skills courses will have full time access to the kitchen and other relevant areas during their stay.
Once completed, our new and refurbished facility at Model Farm Road will provide additional space for training and improved living areas for clients during their stay with us. The new family bedrooms allow for training younger people on site and overall, the facility allows us to cater for increased numbers.
The Building project is due for completion mid October.
