Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind are seeking to recruit a Corporate Partnerships Executive to cover Maternity Leave for a fixed term of 30 weeks.

Purpose of Role

The Corporate Partnerships Executive will play a vital role in support of the overall corporate strategy of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Support will be given to the Corporate Partnerships Manager in discovering, engaging and building relationships with key partners, supporters, sponsors and volunteers.

Key Accountabilities

Corporate Management

  • Assist in the identification, prospecting and relationship development of corporate organisations to form lasting partnerships delivering on monthly and annual income targets
  • Research potential leads and maintain an active prospect pool in line with overall business targets
  • Develop and maintain a core base of corporate supporters in main commercial centres throughout Ireland
  • Work closely with the CPM on leading campaigns to win corporate sponsorship for organisation events
  • Develop and manage a branded corporate engagement showcase for site visits and presentations to prospective clients

Planning & Reporting

  • Maintain fundraising pipeline using in-house CRM system
  • Evaluate and report on the impact of Corporate Volunteering Programme
  • Develop and contribute to the forecasting incomes and expenditures
  • Report against activity metrics in line with business plans

Income Generation

  • Maximise sustainable income by developing corporate relationships through cause related marketing, charity of the year, sponsorship and other corporate opportunities
  • Assistance in development and running of corporate engagement activities, events and fundraising initiatives
  • Responsible for individual income target and KPI’s in line with overall fundraising targets

Communications

  • Work closely with Communications team and implement effective campaigns to communicate effectively with our corporate donors and volunteers
  • Act as Ambassador for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Corporate Partnership programme at Cork HQ and external events
  • Maintain up to date job knowledge and pursue and participate in professional development
  • Keep up to date with developments in corporate community in relation to building relations and prospecting for additional commercial leads

Employee Fundraising

  • Maintain corporate partner relationships.
  • Support all CSR activities and company events with wider fundraising team.
  • Manage key accounts, leverage opportunities with existing partnerships

Corporate Volunteer Programme

  • Manage the key relationships with local corporate partners and other key Munster-based volunteer programmes
  • Support volunteers of local corporate partners with on Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind site activities
  • Engage volunteers with a view to facilitating further opportunities in their organisations through establishing relationships

Trusts and Foundation (including Grant Applications)

  • Engage with our calendar of identified funding opportunities and developing opportunities through research
  • Ensure relationships with key foundations such as Ireland Funds and Community Foundation of Ireland are nurtured
  • Source information from fellow staff members and working together towards building key grant application proposals

Corporate Events

  • Manage Christmas campaign focussing on seasonal corporate income streams
  • Responsible for donor data management and optimising donor engagement, value and retention rates through excellent donor stewardship, monitoring and evaluating campaigns, researching effective individual channels to maximise ROI.

Corporate Puppy Sponsorship Programme

  • Work with Puppy Raisers and training staff to build relationships, reporting to sponsors on investment
  • Co-ordinate and deliver two key direct marketing mailouts and sponsorship appeals to our corporate database

Charity of the Year Programmes

  • Successfully ensuring a smooth transition and key understanding of donor expectations and partnership agreements

Experience, Education and Skills

  • Talented communicator who can inspire support and commitment from a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Comfortable in cold calling environment with first class interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Educated to 3rd level degree in business development
  • Ability and proven experience of work within a target driven environment
  • Demonstrable understanding of people management, motivations and working styles and requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills with excellent time management and planning
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks and managing time and deadlines
  • Excellent Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge

Desirable

  • Awareness of trends, patterns and challenges of volunteering in Ireland
  • Knowledge of fundraising landscape in Ireland
  • Experience and contacts within charitable corporate community

Special Conditions

  • Full clean driving licence
