We want you to get to know our PAWsome staff and to ask them questions about their work. So meet Evelyn!
What’s your role at the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind?
I work on the Fundraising team as Corporate Partnerships Executive.
How long have you been working here?
I have been working with Irish Guide Dogs for almost 1 ½ years… or 10 dog years!
What are your main duties?
I work with our wonderful corporate partners on a range of activities from puppy sponsorship, corporate volunteering, engagement talks, workshops and events. I also work on grants and charity of the year applications aiming to get more funds to support the different projects we run to improve our facilities and services. I also get to visit our many corporate supporters offices presenting at a lunch and learn talk explaining the impact our Guide & Assistance Dogs have on our Clients or even pitching to a company to become their charity of year.
What’s your favourite thing about working at the Irish Guide Dogs?
My favourite thing about Irish Guide Dogs is the amazing people behind the charity. I’m lucky to work with such a terrific team each day who are always happy to help me out anytime, or are on hand for a cuppa and chat! Our amazing Clients and Volunteers are great to work with on talks and events and I would be lost without their support everyday… and let’s not forget our fabulous furry friends!
Who’s your favourite dog?
I love all of our amazing Heroes. I have a huge soft spot for the newly wed Ambassador Dogs Jodie and Ozzie, but my favourite dog is the beautiful blonde Retriever Labrador cross Noah who I’m currently temporary homing (click the link to learn about temporary homing and how you could become a home for one of our dogs in training!).
