In January 2018 we began to share the details of our strategic plan for the next 3 years (2018 to 2020).
The strategic plan was developed by the management team at Irish Guide Dogs in consultation with stakeholders and the process was led by Ms Jacqui Browne, Chair of our Nominating and Governance Sub-Committee. It was approved by the Board in December 2017.
The focus of the strategy is to ensure that we work in partnership with our clients, volunteers and staff to make best use the resources available to us to train and support the maximum number of clients in the years ahead.
We believe that the plan is realistic and achievable. It is supported by annual business plans which ensure that the work required to achieve the objectives is fully considered.
Our Board and management team have agreed on a regular review process and we will use this to provide you with ongoing updates on progress.
Successful delivery of the plan means an increased number of people will have been trained with a Guide Dog, an Assistance Dog or benefited from our Orientation & Mobility and Independent Living skills programme
We recognise that success is linked to how well we can support and engage our clients, volunteers and our staff.
