A gift in your will has the power to improve the lives of people who are blind or vision impaired and families of children with autism.
You can help change the future for someone.
Leaving a life-changing gift in your will is an amazing act of kindness and a powerful way of transforming someone’s life. Your gift is greatly valued and significantly helps us continue our vital work.
Our dogs are life-changing partners that continue to improve the quality of life of their owners every day.
People like you have helped us change the lives of so many people in Ireland. Read their stories.
Many of the great strides we’ve made have been thanks to gifts left to us by people in their wills.
If you want to know more about how these gifts change lives give us a call, or come and meet us at our National Headquarters and Training Centre in Cork to get a better understanding about what we do.
Contact on lo-call 1850 506 300 or email@example.com. We will be happy to answer any query you have to help you with your decision.
Thinking about writing or updating your will?
Once you have made a decision to leave a gift in your will it is simple to implement. With a little help from a solicitor, a clause in your will in favour of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind will ensure that your gift will reach us at a future date. Through your generosity we will help people achieve independence and a better quality of life.
Suggested wording for a will
Below is a sample wording to include a charitable bequest in a will:
For a gift of the residue of an estate
“I give to (insert name of organisation) of (insert address of organisation), all (or a fraction) of the residue of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever, and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other officer for the time being of the said Organisation shall be a full and sufficient discharge of the same.”
For a gift of a fixed sum or specific item:
“I give the sum of €_______ or I bequeath (the item specified) to (insert name of organisation) of (insert address of organisation), and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the said Organisation shall be proper and sufficient discharge for the same.”
Without the support of kind people like you we could not create life-changing partnerships between people and our amazing dogs.
Thank you for considering making such a wonderful and life-changing gift.
