We have been chosen as Charity Partner for the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival 2018 which takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend (25-29th).  The Jazz Festival and our organisation are both well-respected institutions in Cork having been established in 1977 and 1976 respectively.

Sinead Dunphy, Festival Director and Fiona Collins, Chairperson of the Committee (pictured below) visited our headquarters earlier in the month to mark the launch of the partnership with our very own dazzling black Labrador puppy called Jazzi!

Staff and volunteers will be dotted around the city over the October Bank Holiday weekend drumming up support for our work.  Our life changing dogs will of course also be there, adding to the festive atmosphere that permeates Cork over the Jazz weekend.

A really exciting line up of music was announced at the official launch last month, featuring Grammy award winning Maria Schneider and her Orchestra for their first ever Irish appearance, the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama and the celebrated US jazz singer and composer Nnenna Freelon, to name but a few.

There will also be a selection of seriously talented marching bands parading around Patrick Street on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th. So, come to Cork, enjoy what the city has to offer and support the life changing work we do.
