Ryan’s SuperValu is delighted to announced a PAWsome partnership with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Ryan’s have produced a PUPtastic bag for life which was launched in store on Tuesday 18th June. From the sale of each bag, Ryan’s will be making a donation to support the training for their own puppy in training, a black Labrador called Koko. On the day Ryan’s also presented local volunteer puppy raiser Ciara Rylands and 12 week old puppy in training Quill with a cheque for €3,123 from their recent Guide Dog Day collections held in their four stores back in May.

Speaking at the announcement, Tim O’Mahony our General Manager said;  “We would like to thank Ryan’s SuperValu for their very generous ongoing investment and support as with their help we can continue to create exceptional partnerships between people and their dogs. Our highly trained dogs empower people to move safely and confidently around their communities. More than 80% of our income comes from fundraising and donations from the public, and our partnership with Ryan’s means we can provide a future for a family of a child with autism or a person with vision impairment achieve independence.”

Liam Ryan, added; ” We are thrilled to partner again with such a worthy charity like Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, and support the training of future heroes like our puppy in training Koko who will go on to help more people in our community by becoming working Guide and Assistance Dogs.”
