Support our Kennels team
From time to time, our Kennels team at our National Training Centre, Cork need additional dedicated Volunteers to join the team in a number of roles that include activities such as play sessions, grooming, walking, preparing feeds, cleaning kennels and maintenance work.
This work supports our dogs that are aged between 12-14 months and two years.
Volunteering at Kennels, which is known as Late Running, takes place from 6-8 pm in the evenings every day of the week including weekends.
Kennels Late Running Volunteers are asked to commit to the same evening from 6-8 pm each week.
Late Running consists of spending (giving the dogs a chance to relieve themselves), play sessions with pairs of dogs and grooming. The purpose of these sessions is for the dogs to get ‘one–on–one’ time with our Volunteers.

Kennels Volunteers are supported by the staff of our Dog Care and Welfare Team who care for our dogs during training.
Criteria
Applicants must be over the age of 18.
Competent with dogs and canine behaviour.
*Please bear in mind that Kennel Volunteering is physically demanding work.
